AEW Dynamite ratings down for Road Rager episode
Last night’s Road Rager edition of AEW Dynamite averaged 871,000 viewers on TNT, down 1.4 percent from last week.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.33 rating. That’s down 8.6 percent from last week.
There was no NBA playoff game airing against Dynamite. Game five of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals did air opposite the show and averaged three million viewers. That likely affected Dynamite’s numbers somewhat, although last week’s Dynamite went against an NBA game that did nearly twice last night’s NHL viewership.
Looking a little bit deeper into the numbers, the 18-34 demo rating was just a 0.09, which may be the lowest Dynamite has ever done on a Wednesday night in that category.
Year-over-year, Dynamite was up 21.8 percent in overall viewership, so that’s strong growth even considering that the show was going head-to-head with NXT last year.

In 18-49, Dynamite was up 14.3 percent from last year, so the show is skewing older. The declining 18-34 numbers this week confirm that.
Last night’s Dynamite took place in Miami, Florida and was the start of AEW’s return to touring.
Here’s a look at the overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for the last 11 weeks where Dynamite aired on Wednesdays, along with the 10-week average prior to this week. Last night’s show was slightly below that average in both categories:
