As reported a while ago, John Cena’s return to wrestling has been announced. The 16-time world champion is now set to appear on numerous live events towards the end of the year, but Cena’s next appearance on WWE television has just been confirmed as well. WWE revealed today that Cena will be appearing on the January 7th edition of Raw. This show is being filmed in the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Although this would appear to signify that John Cena will not be appearing on WWE programming for the remainder of the year, he will still be in action during a number of live events in 2018. No other upcoming televised appearances for John Cena have been officially announced by the company as of right now.

WWE announced only a few days ago that their upcoming Starrcade live event will be airing live on the WWE Network after all. The news comes after last year’s Starrcade show was strictly a show that could only be watched by the fans in attendance. Network subscribers can now look forward to seeing matches such as Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins in a Street Fight for the Intercontinental Championship, as well as Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles during the show this weekend. Also, it was announced today that Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Mysterio will appear on Miz TV during Starrcade. These matches, segments, and more will be taking place when Starrcade is broadcasted for the first time in years this Sunday night.

A special #MizTV will happen at #WWEStarrcade as @mikethemiz hosts @reymysterio AND #USChampion @ShinsukeN…and you can see it this Sunday night on @WWENetwork! https://t.co/dstTD73d7F

Daniel Bryan shocked the world by turning heel and winning the WWE Championship from AJ Styles a few weeks ago. After the loss, Styles did not appear on the Mixed Match Challenge later that night to team up with Charlotte Flair as he had originally been scheduled to do. Instead, Jeff Hardy partnered up with Flair, and the team got a win over The Miz & Asuka. Although it was specified that Hardy and Flair were not meant to be a permanent team on the show, it now looks like Styles it out of the tournament. WWE confirmed that Hardy and Flair will indeed be teaming up together on the Mixed Match Challenge going forward during last night’s edition of the show. Flair and Hardy are already one of the teams on their way to winning the entire tournament.
