Rumor Mill: WWE Still Working On Plan for Mania for Brock Lesnar
WWE is still believed to be working toward a Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins Universal title match at WrestleMania 35, which probably doesn’t bode well for Braun Strowman’s chances at Royal Rumble.
So, it looks like fans sick of Lesnar holding on to the belt off weekly WWE TV will not be appeased until at least April. It sounds like Rollins will be moving on from chasing former Shield brother Dean Ambrose and the Intercontinental Championship.
This is in part due to WWE making it clear on RAW during the New Year’s Eve show that automatic title rematches are no longer a thing. Here’s what Triple H told Rollins when he denied his request for another shot at Ambrose (h/t Cageside Seats):
”Nothing is going to be handed to anybody anymore. There is going to be no automatic anything. Which is why I’m here to tell you that your automatic rematch for the Intercontinental championship that you think was going to happen here tonight is not going to happen.”
