Samoa Joe Supposed to Be on Raw, Zayn’s Dig at WWE, Bliss Moving?

Several different members of the SmackDown roster were moved over to the Raw brand last night as part of the Superstar Shakeup. However, it appears that a current champion was set to appear on Raw yesterday but his segment ended up being cancelled. According to Fightful Select, United States Champion Samoa Joe was supposed to be on Raw, but his appearance was cancelled due to an illness that has befallen the champ. Joe was supposedly supposed to take part in a segment involving Braun Strowman last night, but instead, Strowman beat down EC3 and Joe never came down to the ring. it was reported yesterday that WWE rewrote much of Raw due to the talent and staff experiencing travel issues.
During last week’s post-WrestleMania edition of Raw, Sami Zayn made his return to the ring after spending months out of action due to an injury. Zayn returned as a heel, and he cut another villainous promo during last night’s Raw show in Montreal. However, Zayn has now started insulting the company that he competes for directly. While responding to a tweet from the official WWE Twitter account, Zayn said that the happiest that he has ever been was when he was out with his injuries. Much of Zayn’s new onscreen persona supposedly comes from his real life thoughts and beliefs, so it is interesting to see Zayn make such a comment. Zayn will be competing on the Raw brand regularly going forward though.

Man, that’s nothing.
You should have seen me the 9 months I was away from @WWE.

Last night’s episode of Raw marked part one of WWE’s annual Superstar Shakeup. SmackDown stars like The Miz, AJ Styles, and others were moved to Raw as part of the Shakeup, but part two begins during tonight’s episode of SmackDown. There is no confirmation on who from Raw will be moving to the blue brand, but Alexa Bliss has been teasing a move on social media over the past few hours. Bliss posted a tweet online today hinting that last night marked her final date as a member of the Raw roster. Bliss previously worked on SmackDown when WWE brought back the brand split in 2016. She has since spent much of her main roster career on the Raw roster, but that could all change later tonight.

Was last night my last night on #Raw ? … #Superstarshakeup day 2
