The first time I heard of the good Doctor I was fifteen and working at
a grocery store in Greater Cincinnati. I worked with a gentleman from
Buffalo who loaned me his copy of "Give Me Dirt Or Give Me Death."
From then on I was hooked. I first saw John live in Cincinnati in
about 1993. Unbelievable!!! I went through several pairs of
underwear! I could not stop laughing! I saw him again in Dayton
about 2001. That's where this picture was taken.
I have turned many Northern Kentuckians/Cincinnatians on to John.
Many friends attended both of these shows with me. And my wife,
who is not a big fan of smut/cussing/lewd suggestions-everything
that John is-went to the Dayton show with me. Hell, she even went
on stage and sang "Barnacle Bill" with Dr. Dirty!
Incidentally, I was fifteen in 1978! So nearly 30 years listening to
